Welcome to our latest set of FREE careers cards, and this set is personal for one half of My Science Club. The theme of this set is Careers in Biological Sciences and many years ago Paul’s degree was in molecular biochemistry, and it remains a passionate interest of his and you’ll see that passion for biochemistry permeate many of our resources.
For the past couple of years, we’ve published sets of 10 free careers cards which have been really popular with schools and families alike. We’ve loved creating, researching, reading and learning so much about the jobs, careers, skills needed and how the jobs interact with each other so here is the third collection for the set…
The biological world is endlessly fascinating and as the range of careers in this free set, and the full 26 card set, show the opportunities are endless too.
Quick ways to make use of our 10 free biological science careers cards:
- Introduce them in a whole school assembly and launch an A-Z competition to fill in the blanks – we’ve done 10 for you!
- Ask your school community if they know anyone locally who works in any of these careers who could share their experiences with your school or setting
- Use the cards each week in your club as a ‘get thinking’ activity at the start. Ask what sort of skills they think that the career or job entails? What other subjects might be useful in that career or job? Can you find out more about where someone in that role might work?
As with all our other sets of career cards there is a separate full set of 26 cards available as well. These are a free resource for My Science Club members (check out your members area to find them) or available to buy on our TES shop for just £1.
